A chlorinator is a device on the pool equipment pad that allows chlorine pucks to slowly dissolve over time. Chlorinators, also known as erosion feeders, allow water to run through the device and injects the chlorine into the pool returns.

The chlorinator is a great alternative to putting chlorine pucks into the skimmer as it protects the pool heater from premature wear and allows for a longer run time between pool maintenance.
